SERROTT, GRAPHICS POETRY

José Torres Medina, Serrott, Cartagena is an artist, was born on April 4, 1965 and from an early age he lights the world of art would become their way of life drew to his classmates, friends and family for the love of painting.

Challenging the concept of a large company that sponsored his studies of art was not a promising career was launched at the painting as an autodidact. Technified then studied art at the High School of Fine Arts in Cartagena.

He graduated as a cartoonist by correspondence, he worked at an advertising firm as a draftsman, created a character for a construction company that would have been well received in the press and the cinema was the founder and percussionist in a salsa band called Grupo Illusion. Also work on a sculpture and graphic design and even created covers for books, be the first of these 'cosmic contact. " Believes that an artist must be comprehensive, it must know and manage every aspect of art, so their skills cover many edges.

As for painting, his most important techniques are watercolor, charcoal and oil, the latter being his favorite. Serrott is one of those painters who broke with tradition to reinvent painting pure reality, not the mere desire of snobbery, but a real close view of the world sees, he paints with spontaneity conscious dismantle his paintings without separating reality of context, but quite the contrary magnifying the details for consideration with the meticulousness of a watchmaker.

Serrott boxes hit show facets of a polyhedron reflecting pictorial   luminous charm chromatic tensile strength, management   quasi   voluptuous shapes, colors jubilant dancing in his paintings. Each work is an explosion of colors, thus ensuring the figurative forms tangled in a web woven with strong and bright point.

The work of this artist is not easy to place in the mold of surrealism and figurative art painting for his subtly flirts   with these forms of pictorial expression no avenue open to any of its tenets. It is rather a sort of pulling the veil of reality, breaking down their darkest and hidden mysteries to show the viewer the parts of which it is composed.

Loves nature and thus pays tribute to her in his paintings, which is why his works have an accent color, play of light and dismantling of forms, without any significant difficulty in any of his creations.

This artist Cartagena, inventor of a conjectural actually makes some Schopenhauer's phrase "The world is my representation of him." It thrives on the daily experiences of the world and the images transmitted through, therefore, behind each painting lies a series of experiences beyond being admired must be analyzed.

Serrott works have been accompanied by major artists, national and international presence doing well in exhibitions such as Art and Culture of the Caribbean Community Arts Ecopetrol, Testimony and evolution, Art for God Hall Pierre Daguet Art, Artists United Against Childhood Cancer, International City LaBoy festival 2009 and many more. His works are in countries like Venezuela, Spain, United States and Canada among others.

What sets this promising artist is the ability to outsource all questions, concerns and realities that surround our daily lives, without neglecting the sensitivity and detail of a poet graph.
